We all want to create more dynamic and interesting photographs. When shooting, consider the light that is available and see if there is a way you can increase or improve it if there isn’t enough. For example, open up the shades in the window to let the light stream in. Window light makes for great portraits! This not only will give you more light to shoot with which will improve the image quality but will allow you to create a more dynamic photograph with vivid highlights and shadows.

TIPS & TRICKS #003 | LIGHTING Another tip is shooting with a camera like the VSCO Camera that you can download in the app store for free. The VSCO Camera will allow you to choose one point for your focus, and another for exposure. (See middle example). This allows for more flexibility when shooting to get your focus and and exposure just right!
